Gateway Changes Admission Price...
I'm not sure how he did it but Gateway International Raceway's Drag Racing Director, Rich Schaefer, somehow convinced management to drop the Tuesday night $25 fee for entries with slick tires to the standard $20 for all other entries. He instituted the new admission rate for the first Test-and-Tune event on Wednesday, March 25th.
Therefore, Contestant Admission for all 2009 Tuesday SCSS/SBSS/Test events is $20 or $15 for all High School or College Students possessing valid school identification. Spectator admission to all Tuesday SCSS/SBSS/Test events is still $10 with children under 12 years admitted free.
Rich did not revise the entry fee because of complaints. He revised it because he didn't think it was fair.
Do you have the guts to waste two minutes of your time to send him a note of thanks at rschaefer@gatewayraceway.com ?
