See, right there, thats the difference. I didn't yet, thats where you ASSumed. Nice work Sherlock! But that picture IS of one of two supercharged 3.4s -- why only two? Because its a new territory. Besides, you also ASSume I'm building a race car. Nope, I'm building a very streetable, very daily driveable street car that I wont be ashamed to take to either the road course or the drag strip. You my friend ASSume too much.

BTW: My setup so far will consist of the Vortech V1 unit with a 255 in line pump for ease of repairs, Z28 stock injectors, Vortech FMU, full computer tuning (only two people can tune the PCM im these cars. I'm having to go to Canada for the tuning), and when I replace my old front bumper cover I'll be adding a FMIC to the mix of things. And just for ****s sake its getting an adjustable BOV for saftey reasons bolted up to an LT1 58x2mm throttlebody to a ported, polished, modified intake manifold for the extra air...

Oh, and all of this will be running me about $4,600 to get it done properly. Not only will I be gaining good power for straight line performance I'll also be able to do a TON better here at the local road courses with that extra power.

I think the stock computer can't do a hole lot.
I was just going to buy one of those megasqurt fuel management systems and build that. I might learn a few things while I'm at it.
The super charged 6 sounds like it is going to be cool.

so you are not doing **** to the rod bolts? still no fpr. just because i said racecar, does not mean it cannot be daily driven. mine is almost done. pretty much only need to drop the motor and small stuff here and there. its not a daily driver, but almost daily. and the only thing it wont handle is snow. but hell, it didnt handle snow very well stock.

from the way you have asked questions and the way you have carried yourself, the only things you could have done to assit the the building of a motor would be to bring beer to those who were working. sorry dude, standing there doesnt mean you know ****.

LOL - Then its not a race car. Its your weekend warrior. Race car, something that only sees the track or the races. Depending on where your track is

You still will be driving your car less than mine. And no, I'm not going to bother with my internals until

a) they break
b) I want more boost

Stock I have 7cc dished pistons -- I plan on going to around 12-14cc dished using 5.7" Eagle Small-Block forged connecting rods (60* motors all use the same dimension rods as the small block chevy) on the stock nodular crank. FPR will PROBABLY be a BBK adj. unit for tuning purposes. My only part I'm stuck trying to figure out is my cam specs when I *do* swap out my internals, but I'm sure I'll figure something out

keithyscamaro, I recommend you go read a few books before you start this project. Or atleast research it a LOT. I'm not ******* you but this isn't the best project for a beginner which is what you're sounding a little like..

Your all most right about puting the SBC rods in a V6.
1 they have to be small jornal 327 rods w/ 2.000'' rod jornal.
2 they have to be machined to down on one side to .86'' wide at the jornal from the stock with of .940''.
3 The piston pin hole has to be blushed from .927'' to the stock v6 pin dia of .912'' unless you have the v6 pistons recut with .927'' holes. I have herd of people doing that.
4 they have to be 5.7''

it will be seeing the strip. im going to have to see what it feels like before i decide on autocross.

i believe all that is required to call something a racecar is the fact that you race it. descression is required with the term, and i think we all know what im talking about.
