You should easily be able to diagnose this problem. Get a multimeter and check the battery voltage. If thats low, thats your problem right there.

If the battery checks out good, then move to the starter etc. You can use the multi meter to check the voltage coming off the starter adn make sure thats up to spec too. The problem shouldnt be too hard to diagnose.

If it does turn out to be the battery, also check out your alternator to make sure it doesnt need replacement. It could not be fully recharging your battery.

Is your car a manual? If it is, you may want to check the neutral safety switch. Ever notice that you can't start the car unless the clutch is depressed all the way? Some times this switch just plain breaks. I don't have much experience with automatica, but I do believe they have a similar set-up. I think it's tied in somehow to the emergency brake. That could be a simple fix because all it is, is a push button contact switch. Just another possibility. Other than that, I'd look into your security system. The Theft Lock could be malfunctioning.

Is there any play with the big wire on the silenoid? On mine it sometimes comes loose and can be moved about 30 degrees up or down. IF it goes to far up or down the sileniod will not engage but if I have it inbetween the two it works just fine. IF so then play with the wire while someone trys to start the car. Everything is good on the car, terminals, battery, wires, and starter.

I had a similar problem shortly after I bought my car (used at 60k miles), and I ended up needing a new starter. Let us know how that tests.
