oil leak or head gasket blown???
oil leak or head gasket blown???
Hopefully someone out there can shed some light on a problem im having.
I noticed yesterday that my engine was leaking some oil. its leaking from higher up on my engine but i cant tell from where. I asked a friend of mine and he said its possibly a blown head gasket or its cracked...or something like that!! im just really concerned because today i noticed that my engine heat gauge was going crazy and gettin really close to the red! so please if anyone could possibly let me know if they've dealt with this and what the problem was with their car..I would greatly appreciate it thank you

Re: oil leak or head gasket blown???
well, if your heat went funny too, its likely the headgasket
to find out, check your oil, if its creamy/milky, you have a blown headgasket, as now the oil and coolant are able to mix, which will make your car overheat.
hope this helps

Re: oil leak or head gasket blown???
Thank you much..ill definatley check that out tomorrow when i have some light..off that subject ive noticed that alot of folks are goin for the flowmaster AM/TH exhaust..would that be a wiser investment over magnaflow wide open exhaust???

1) its personal choice on sound, i'm happy with my flowmasters.... 3.8L will never sound good >3k rpms... i'd personally see what u can get cheaper (although i'd advise getting the 3" catback, not the 2.5" - which would mean buying teh single cat LT1 flowmaster catback)
2) i dunno, i think its a fair bit of coin to get the headgaskets done... sorry (u can always search/search on camarov6.com - plenty of info there)
