Question How will my car sound if........

How will my car sound if I take off my catylitic converter , how will it sound with no converter with my mods in the sig ? Will it be louder and sound better, and will I loose or gain any power? I want my car to be alittle louder and sound better so what should I do ? should I just get a catco ? give me some ideas.

are you putting in a pipe or something for the converter?

if so it will sound louder and deeper.

I woudl get a catco infact I did, mine is sitting in my room

anything will flow better then your stock cat of what 8 years?

Im thinking about just putting a pipe , My guess would be that it would be louder and deeper with just a pipe and no converter.

I have no personal experience, but I've heard it sounds like a fart.

It sounds like a fart if you just hollow out your cat.I don't know how it'll sound with a pipe in it's place.Good luck.

I had my cat replaced with pipe, after i had my flowmaster installed, all i have to say is that it was LOUD. i didnt think it sounded too bad untill i got up into the higher RPMs, but after driving one day with a huge hangover i decided to put in a bigger cat and quiet the thing down a little. now it doesnt sound too bad, still kinda *hitty in the higher RPMs, but the only way to get rid of that sound i think is to get a bigger engine

I took my cat off and replaced with a x pipe and it sounds nice and loud. It does get a littl ricey in high revs but i think that has to do with the fact that all i have is a flowmaster 80 series. If i put on headers and 2.5" pipe i think it will sound really nice.

Im just thinkin about putting a pipe and thats just it . Right now ive got a y pipe , can I use the Y pipe? Will it still be loud ? I want it to be freakin LOUD!! , like I want people to hear me comin from like a block away!!! Should it be really loud like that ? Ive got a mustang GT that goes to my school and he only has open headers and it is loud !!! Will my car almost be as loud as his car with the open headers?

V6's arent loud. Do you want a deep loud, or just a ricer exhaust loud. If you want a ricer loud just run open headers, if you want the deep V8 loud there is only one way to do that. I bet you know what that is. I say try it, and if it dosent sound how you want it, try something else.

Don't you have emissions tests where you live?

FL has no emissions laws anymore, they got rid of them awhile back, cost too much to keep track of, and the cars here were too clean.
