Exclamation Front Shock Install....Spring Compression Tool

Hey Guys, does anyone out there who has done the front shock replacement know if the "strut spring compression" tool from autozone will work on our cars. I was looking in my chilton's and it shows a completely different spring compression tool. I just got my z-28 T/O Shocks from SLP and i'm itching to get them on.

hey man im pretty sure you can just use the compression tool but.. if you want you can call the gm main office and they should be able to tell you if you want the number it's 1-800-222-1020 that way you know for sure... and you won't get halfway into the project and find out someone was wrong.. bye the way.. have you seen a black gmc sierra running around ridgeland and madison with white stripes and ss350 stickers on the side.. just curious..

yep that tool from Autozone worked fine for me... just be patient... seems like you have to compress it forever till it becomes loose, but it does.
Good Luck
