I think it only works on 98+ models. But on those years it will work on V6 or V8.

what would i need to toss on my 3.4l to hit 200hp ?

I think the easiest would be a 40 shot of nitrous. Although cams would probably be a pretty good way to gain hp, I doubt they would add 40 hp.
