Post Dropped a socket

I was tightening a bolt under the hood on the passenget side and I dropped two sockets accidently. Only one of them fell all the way out and I'm having no luck finding the other. Is it possible that it could have fallen in someplace that would be harmful if I was to start the car? It's a 3.4L if that matters. Any ideas where it might have lodged itself? I've been digging around but can't find it.

I have done that a million times...best places to check are....

1. remove the front underside cover(3 pins its attached to your front bumper also) then take off the side piece in front of the wheel...I know its kinda vague but if you wanted to mess with the signal lights you would have to remove this piece.

2. Behind the front wheel, inside the wheel well you can take off that back cover by removing one or two screws. They have always been there for me.

As long as you didn't have anything open or it didn't fall into the spark plug sockets(extremely small chance but the only thing I can think of off the top of my head) then you should be okay.

hope this helps!

Haha whoa! I was getting ready to reply with the same response Those magnetic wands will do wonders for you. Saves a lot of patience... just wave it around in the area that you believe the metal object fell and it'll come to daddy
