Car loses power @ WOT

Ok, I driving along and the car is @ WOT. What's weird is that if I slowly let off the gas a little, say I give it 90% throttle. The car starts to pull harder and go faster. What's up what that?

It's 10 years old. I was going to replace it but I'm not sure how too. Could this be the problem?

How old is your CAT?

When my Cat started breaking apart, a chunk got sideways under full throttle it clogged and bogged the car doewn but 3/4s throttle it was fine.

Either way with the fuel filter... I owudl change that first, problem or no 10 years old is old!

I am on my 3rd one with a 94.

Wow...that is OLD!

When you change the filter, do us a favor...save the filter and cut it open and take a picture!

Even if that isn't the problem, you should see a pretty good increase in drivability.

after u change your fuel filter if that doesn't fix it, pull your plugs out and check them, if they are all carboned up have your fuel injectors checked. i had the same problem and spent alost $2000 replacing things before i found out that the injectors were leaking. if i floored it, it just sorta died and sputtered, and if let off a bit, it would push me back in the seat. good luck

How can I tell if the cat is clogged? It's OE.

if your car drives like crap and your exhaust smells like sulfer- those are usually good hints. or if your cat turns charcoal red after driving for a few minutes.
