Can a short stick shifter be installed in my 2001 Camaro V6?

Hello everyone, I was told that I cannot put a short stick shifter for my 2001 Camaro V6. Has anyone done thing to there car? If so, where did you get your short stick shifter and was it easy to put on?

Yes you can, there are a few...

I have a hurst billet plus, I bought it used on cv6.com from a member. And picked up a $20 ls1speed short stick to go with it.

I recommend searching over there for a little bit for a used one. I paid $90 shipped, and they cost like $150-170 new.

Go there look under v6 camaro/firebird, then under transmission then they have shifters listed.

They have 2.

That site is one of the best if not the best site for v6 performance parts.

I tried going to cv6.com and nothing comes up. Is this the correct website?

camarov6.com

ok, 3 types...

b&m - i have it, love it- but i feel the stick is still too long, but the throw is beautiful

pro 5.0 - u can have a shorter stick on there too, i'd do that next time... if there is a next time

hurst - similar to the pro 5.0

they're all around $150-170, look for a used one, they're built solid, so getting one used wont matter
