You should have the advantage down low. Race him from a roll and things will get interesting. I'd bet it's going to be a close one.

are you sure the car is a 94???? if so, it doesn't have a 4.6L but a 5.0 pushrod motor instead. the 4.6 didnt come out until 96. in any case both of these motors put the 94-98 GTs in the low 15 - high 14 second range with a stick and a decent driver. you should be right with him.

Im pretty sure its a 94. The guy just got the car also and I have had mine for almost a year now.....i just want to know if i can hang with him. It would just be funny to me if a v6 can hang with a v8, especially when he thinks he car is all that.


and PS this is joemack's son...i got the v6 and he got the 02 z28

You'll be able to hang with him if not beat him. I raced a '94 GT and beat the guy by a car length or so when all i had was muffler and cai. You got the advantage too if he has an auto.. cuz...well we all know...Ford auto's are not too good. Good luck and be safe.

Like I said, It should be a fairly close race and if you're a good shifter, he's ganna get . GT's are stock turds. Don't let it fool you, it doesn't take to much in mods to really "wake them".

94 should still be a 5.0 200 hp stock, 96-98 4.6 is 215.
is it an auto or 5 speed, if its auto you'll defently smoke it

you can tell what year it is by the taillights, horizontal = = is a 94-95(5.0) vertical iii iii is a 96-98 (4.6)

Its gonna be close but not impossible. Chance are much more in your favor if he has a auto.

not that it really matters but 94-95 302s made 215 hp not 200 (would have been 225 but they couldnt fix the fox 5.0 intake under the sn-95 hood, so the new one restricted flow a litte)....96-97 4.6s made 215 as well and then got a bump to 225 in 98.

I had a 97 camaro v6 auto. I had installed an intake and exhaust, and i would just barely put half a car to a car length on the 94-98 stangs.

what about a 95 (3.4) with very few mods, vs. a late 80's?? 88 ish or even way early 90's. the style right before the new one? How would that do. His is a auto, mine is standard if that helps...

I was thinking the exact opposite because those older GTs while having a mere 215hp or so they have like 290 ft/lbs torque so I think they'd rip you like crazy off the line as long as they didn't spin.

well i own a 94 3.4L auto and a 1990 5.0 stang 5spd (it was cheap i couldn say no and low low miles). Well the camaro has intake and exhaust and the stang was bone stock and with the 300 ftlbs or trq it blows the camaro away, i dont know how the automatic stangs are. I also raced a buddy in a 3.4L camaro with a 5spd and i had no problem in the 5.0 stang takin him. I still want a z28 though

my old 93 was a old fox body style 5.0 eater. and the new body style early 5.0's i smoked a special edition one by over a car length from a roll. then from a light i gave him a head start and passed him. plus the guy had cam intake and exhaust, all i have is a free flowing intake and exhaust. and wasted the duesche bag. i laughed. ps my v6 was only beat by 2 5.0's one was close as hell race. lost by mere inches. and the guy told me to get faster. i didnt have the ***** to tell him it was a 6. i didnt want to make him cry. then the other was a yellow svt so that was a given. lol i got owned.

Hmmmm, you have/had a 3.4L with exhaust and intake and you wasted a 5.0L that had intake, exhaust and cam? Is this what your saying? I'll reserve my comments until you verify what I think I am reading.
