94 3.4 problems

I have a 94 firebird that has been giving me a hard time trying to start. Sometimes when i go to start it, it will act if there is a heavy load on the engine. I put a tester on it and it showed the starter was drawing 500 amps. So i think it is the starter that is causing the problem but it is less then 5 months old. When i took it to a shop they said it was either the cam or crankshaft sensers. So i ended up replacing the cam senser and it made no difference. What else could it be, I dont want to replace both crank sensers when it could be something else.
Thanks Mike

What exactly does it do when you go to start it? And does it go ahead and start or not start at all?? What is the voltage reading on the battery gauge on your dash when you try to start it?

Ya it will go ahead and start, the voltage is good till it seems like there is a big load on it when it is trying to start and you can see the voltage gauge drop really low. The way it acts is like when the timing is way to far advance and it barely will turn over.
