3.4 engine help
Re: 3.4 engine help
The most I've seen out of a NA streetable 3.4 is about 260hp (flywheel), and it was still pretty gutless in the top end. 14.7 in the quarter, don't know the MPH. Are you looking for more?
It was a '95 M5, cammed, with a CAI, no cats, and a 3" catback.
There's potential to be much, much faster with a turbo setup, but that's at least as much work and probably more money than an LT1 swap.
What exactly do you have in mind?
BTW: this should probably be in the V6 tech section.

http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/ - Port and polish work and a few other things for the 3.4L
http://www.rsmracing.com/catalog.htm - Camaro tab has larger throttle body, really small cam, and supercharger.

The throttle body doesn't look like a direct bolt on to me.

S/C
http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm - They have a lot of cams, Ross Racing Pistons and stuff for 3.4L, but sometimes they take a while to ship.
Info on using aluminum heads and a upper and lower intake manifold from a 3400 grand am: http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...ead.php?t=8935

Re: 3.4 engine help
I've heard of a local guy that runs 12.9's in the 1/4 who has that s/cer....of course he doesn't just have that. I don't know his mods though.
Anyone remember the name of the turbo kit they used to or may still have for this car? I can't think of it.
EDIT: Found it, it's at Force Fed Fabrications, although I don't see anywhere where you can buy one anymore, maybe he stopped selling them?
