Ok i ran into two different mustangs last night. Both of them were 4.6 (one a 97 the other a 98). They both were revving on me and saying all sorts of crap when I passed by them. Well I finally met up with them at the mall and they preceeded in talking all sorts of **** saying that their mustangs would eat anything in town. FYI, they are both part of a "car club" called team ignite. All the other cars in the groups are imports. Ok, so anyways, they start saying how they would hand me my *** in a race and how slow my car was so I called them out. The one in the red mustang was not timid at all and said he would race me and then he would race the white one because he knew he would win against me and that the other mustang would give him a better race. So anyways we go out to race. The red car can barely do a burnout "to warm his tires". I don't even do a burnout and just line up. Well in first i pulled about a car, 2nd about two cars, and by the end of third i had probably 3-4 cars on him.

He starts making excuses so I said I would give him a head start. Still beat him by about 2 cars. Well this whole time the guy in the white car looks like he just saw his grandmother naked. He was scared. Finally after about 4 races, all with the same outcome, he gives up saying there is something wrong with his car. When we get back to the stop he tells me to pop my hood because he doesn't belive my car is stock. Well of course everyone sees the two nitrous solenoids on top of the intake and right away he starts saying I sprayed him and I was cheating.

I tell him that we will race again and I WILL use the nitrous just to prove to him I didnt use it the first 100 times we raced. You guys do the math LT1+150 shot vs stock mustang = *** whopping! I was bus lengths in front of him. Well needless to say, for some reason the white mustang didnt want to race me.

I have mad respect for anyone that owns a V8 since they are becoming soo rare around here, but stupid people who think that just BECAUSE they have a V8 that their car is the fastest around just plain **** me off.

That's my story, I just needed to vent.

I know, it does seem that just about every mustang driver out there thinks his car is the fastest. Well at least every mustang driver that i have come into contact with acts that way.
Anyway nice kills, I wish I could have seen their faces, i bet they were like

put a turbo on the mustang and race him again and see what the outcome is.

 

No offense, but that's kind of a lame answer - when you're lining up against someone, you "run what ya brung".

No "If I put a Kenne Belle supercharger on, I'd destroy him",

No "Wait 'til I get nitrous",

No "I'm gonna get a used NASCAR engine"

etc., etc., etc... If you start going down that road, pretty soon one person is laying claim to John Force's drivetrain, & the other is mentally scavenging from the Millenium Falcon...

Like I said, no offense, but "hypothetical racing" is rather lame.

 

Just thinking raw numbers off the top of my head... Add a turbo on a stock 96 ~ 98 4.6 with what? 215 (Maybe 225?) Horse Power, vs a LT1 with a 150 shot? EVEN if it doubles the Mustang's crank HP, up to 430 ~ 450. The LT1 would be sitting at a solid 435 horse. I am still siding with the LT1 on this one

Yeah here this I ran into someone yesturday after I got off work and they said that those two guys in the mustangs were going around saying I have a storker motor in my car and that is how i beat them without my nitrous. Honestly do these kids ever stop. I mean I have nothing against mustang drivers but I always seems like the ones I run into are the 15-17 year old kids who bought a stang, put a flowmaster on it, and then think they have the fastest car in town. I don't get it.

ONE MORE THING, went out and raced my friends 05 Goat last night. IT was an awesome race. We hung with each other pretty well then at the top of third I started to pull him. His car is completely stock. It was an awesome run.

Bro, there seems to be a Mustang in every driveway around here where I live, and it's always the teenage punks that think they're hot sh*t in those big bad 5.0's. I definitely know what you're talking about. Always nice to put them in their place.

 

I used to have a 5.0. It was a bolt on car with nitrous and it was quick. But I was tired of being beat by all the F Bodies around town. So I got smart and got me one of my own.

 

Same thing happended to me tonight, it was just in reverse though.
We have some young punks that are GAY, that drive LT1's and LS1's round here.
I gave both of them a 2 car go, and, they lost.
But, young guy with a LT/S1=gay and stuff.
