My 97 LT1 ta was CAI with catback only. Stock 273's and ran a 13.70@102 and its in the link in my sig to prove it

Most of the time I was launching w/ one tire. It worked when it wanted to.
My best time is still 14.47, I just have to get the launch right, and learn how much to spin the tires because I found out that even though they are street tires, they do react to heat. Last time at the track one run I spun 'em up really good, off the line they spun for about 2 complete turns then hooked good and the car fell on it's nose. Next run I spun them just enough to get the trash off of them and it spun all through first gear. Oh and I put the car on the scale there, and got 3320 lbs(half tank of gas), that's a little light isn't it? But I did make a new personal best on my r/t, .068, a far cry from my first ever run down the strip 14 passes ago with my truck with a .968 r/t, haha.

Try to leave off at around 1200 to 1500 rpms feathering the clutch. If you ease into the throttle you will be quicker than just sitting there spinning. If that is too little try to up it in 200rpm increments. If you go on a test and tune night you should be able to get in 7-10 runs.
If you just let up on the clutch you are shocking the tires with an abrupt torque surge. Try to feather it out and leave kinda easy, like leaving from a stop sign but only a bit quicker. You should hit your mark if you do it right.
