Every Sunday night a bunch of guys meet up at this little spot called Greenville Wheel and Rim. Tons of ricers and alot of domestics as well. Well, my buddy gets there in his 99 LS1 and wants to run someone. His GF has the video camera and shes ready to film somthing. So they walk up to this kid in a newer model turbo Integra and asks him if he wants to run. A week or 2 earlier this same Integra pulled my buddies 2000 SS which was stock at the time. Anyways, they all jump in their cars and so do I . Well all head out towards the highway just raising all kinds of hell. Once we get onto the interstate I merge over and slow down so the LS1 and Integra can get in front of me. They start out from about a 50 roll and just gun it. With me behind my buddies LS1, I hit the throttle to. First run my buddy pulls the Integra cause he got the jump on him and Im just cruising in right behind him. They decide to go again and this time I was ready. As soon as they hit the gas I nailed my pedal to the floor. I was right on both of their asses just tapping the throttle almost pushing the Camaro out of my way. I see another kid in the Integra looking back at me laughing with a video camera to. We all head back to the spot after they got done racing just to chill some more and talk. I walk over to the guy in the Integra to see what was so funny when he was looking back at me with his camera. I was expecting a smart *** comment but instead he was like, "dayum man, I was in the gas all the way and you were just tapping the throttle." We all thought it was kinda funny. I will give the guy props. That is one fast *** Integra. There is another one here that runs 7.6's @ 97mph in the 1/8. I definately need the juice to run with him.

 

Dang..some of those integras are real quick..me and one were going head to head at like 40 to 90 but i wasn't ready and of course he came up on me doing like 10 mph faster than i was..but theres no worse feeling to loosing against some smart a** kid in a import..

 

There are some really fast imports here. A few turbo Integras, Eclipses, Civics , and a Supra making about 800hp. The Supra has a tag on it that says V8Killer!

 

Dude is that supra red??? I'm in NC..but about a week ago i saw a red supra with a tag on it that said "V8Killer"..it was just sitting there in the lowes foods parking lot..The one i saw looked really really nice..

 

anything with a turbo and at least 10psi can do what that integra did with it if they weigh eve similar.

Then engine is a POS, and the turbo just happens to be rated for certain hp.

 

Actually this Supra is black with a body kit on it.

 

You are right about that. I hate when I hear its just a 4 cylinder compared to your V8. Most people dont realize they weigh about 1000lbs less and more in some cases. They may not make as much hp but the power to weight ratio is in their favor.

 

whats sh*tty about the B18? the fact that it just needs new rods and pistons to support over 500hp?

 

The day I bought my Z I saw a pack of 12-15 Supras leaving a gas station.

I got smoked by all but one (all at the same time! wewwweee!)

One's license plate said "1200 HP"

Later I found out that all of them except that one had a minimum of 600-700 HP and the one with the plates did actually have 1200 HP
I wonder if it was flywheel or RW, I forgot to ask, he was such an A$$ I lost interest.

Just thought I'd mention about the plates....pretty cool

 

20 bucks says EVERY ONE of those supras you raced was on low boost. including the "1200 HP" one.

 

yeah Im sure they turned'em down for the street, but maybe not....
