Ran into my buddy again tonight. We ended up running about 4 times from a roll. The first time was from 1st gear roll. I pulled on him through 1st (more when i got some traction), by the end of 2nd he was a couple feet behind my rear bumper. He said he shut down after I hit 3rd gear (no use continuing). Anyway we went from a couple more slow rolls with the same result. Finally on the last race he said lets go from a little higher roll so we get to about 45-50 with me pacing in 2nd gear. Bam, were off and I creep on him through the rest of 2nd gear(wasnt much left in 2nd) then 3rd and im still ahead about a half car or so, I slam it in 4th and then he starts creeping up on me and continues to float by at a slow pace. By 1/4 or so through 4th he has about a car length ahead of me where we shut down at around who knows I would guess around 120 give or take 5mph, didnt really look at the speedometer. Whatever mph it is in Lt1's with 3.42's at about 1/4 or a little more through 4th gear. I actually have a video of the 1st race if anyone can host it for me. Its about 1.5mb. Was wandering why I ate him up so bad from a low mph roll, come to find out he is an A4 with stock 2.73's, Corsa catback, CAI and a couple small mods. I didnt know they still made Vettes with 2.73's. Im still waiting on my 100shot. Should take care of that 4th gear pull he gives me

Yours is stronger than mine bud.
Look back a month ago and see where I posted a loss to a factory C5. He pulled on me and I couldnt do a thing about it. I also ran a 13.12 when the car was stock and when we ran I had the exhaust and whisper lid on.

Glad to hear you won....wish I coulda said the same for myself.
The one I raced was a six speed though.

Back when I had bolt ons I raced a 00 vette with an auto, 2.73s, air bridge and some minor exhaust work. I'd jump ahead every time then he'd real me in as the speeds increased. They are definitely for top end, even with the crappy gears!

 

Same story. I could have ran 100 times, that thing still pulls on top end.

Ahh, its not that great of a vid so your not missing much. My girlfriend barely hit record in time and the race (on the vid) only actually lasted 4-5 seconds (1st to 2nd gear shift and he let out). I have the other vid from a roll (which wasnt as pretty considering he pulled back on me on topend) but all you can see is his taillights cause its so dark and for some reason my girlfriend aimed at the sideview mirror I tried IM'ing you Sax but you werent on yet. I'll try later. I also have a vid of me against a 00Z28 w/intake and catback at the local 1/8th mile that i needed hosted a while back if anyone volunteers
