So today im at this place and he comes up telling me how bad his 5.0 is, and I ask what is done, he said it has a cold air intake, exhaust, and a chip. Then he says it will take my car, and im like hmm ok wanna race, and hes like lets do it for titles(if I would of accepted all my title offers I would of had 2 cars already rofl,but they would not of signed em over so don't matter), at this point im just like so all it has is what you said and thats it. Hes like yea, and then he says it will pull a wheelie on a normal road not a drag strip. At this point I just want to slap him in the head. So will race with in the next couple days, that is, if he don't sale it. If hes telling the truth, like all 5.0 owners he will learn the hard way.

 

I wouldnt say ALL 5.0 drivers. However, you will take him easily I would think. As far as the tires coming off the ground...

You should be able to spank him pretty good.
The guy's an obvious moron. The track hooks up alot better than the street so if a car is going to pull the tires off the ground it's gonna be the track not the street.
Don't let morons like that make you have false security that ALL 5 litre's are easy prey . Theres alot of very fast one's out there.

It looks like a stock Fox body Saleen but it run's ALOT faster.Does'nt look like it makes 700rwhp and run's mid 9's at 145+ does it?

Thanks. I'm in the process of making it a little more streetable so I can just drive it on the streets with it now. It just got to expensive to stay competitive in the heads up classes and when your running that power level things break and that gets expensive as well.
So I've decided it was time to tune it for pump gas and make a few other changes and start enjoying the car again instead of it sitting in the garage all the time.
I'll miss drag racing it but I may pick up another car. Possibly a fox body notch or a LS1 Auto and do some bracket racing.
My T/A will be paid off in a few months so it'll be time to add another car to the collection....

Yes definately a hard read at that. If thats what he has then on paper you should win. There's also a good chance that hes not the original owner and there might be mods on there he has no idea about. Those cars have been around forever and you probably have a better chance of seeing bin laden then finding one of those stock nowadays. Though there have been 5.0's run lower 14's stock and thats probably what your at right now w/ the 273's. Watch what 5.0's your gonna teach a lesson too w/ a lightly modded LT1.

 

My T/A will be paid off in a few months so it'll be time to add another car to the collection Yea I wouldnt wanna line up w/ that saleen, beatiful car.Like u the daily driver should be paid off hopefully soon and ill be shopping for a Terminator, Just can't beat 450 rwhp for under a grand in mods
