if you have not read http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=523039 read it first.

Went to race him today, first time he smoked the tires and I just pulled ahead, by around 10 cars. Second time We took off and what I think is my transmission just started rattling, it sounded bad, but I kept it on the floor, beat him again. Hes no longer bragging.

In general, the 10-bolt seems to be good up to 400rwhp with drag radials. Your mileage may vary... some people have broken 10-bolts with stock 2.73-geared street-tired LT1s... and others have made many successful runs with heads/cam LS1s with slicks.

Oh thanks, I may be getting a set of MT's sometime (not soon though)
I talked to the guy today he said $250 for the install. I have all the parts. So as soon as my appointment comes along my 3.73's will be in.
