Lamborghini Gallerado
Lamborghini Gallerado
Ok first off I know this has nothing to do with a Camaro and for anyone that is upset with that sorry. I have been on this forum for a bit now trying to learn about the cars you guys drive because I am thinking about getting into the car scene. Anyway....here is a little something that happened to me yesterday that I think you guys would appreciate.
I am riding down the local interstate and in my mirrors I see a car flying up behind me. He gets along side of me and revs it up and gave me a nod. It was a new Lamborghini Gallerado. This thing was sick, sounded awesome. He then punched it and took off. Now never being one to back off I followed behind him for a bried second and showed him that he did not own the highway. We raced a couple of times with the same outcome. Now this car is in no way a slouch and for being stock it is one of the fastest cars I have ever raced. He would no problem eat a 600. After messing around for a bit he waved and turned off the highway.
That car was beautiful.

welcome to the site.
You dind't mention what you were driving, I'll asume a busa by your name. Good kill.
And when you DO buy an F-body, get a 2000-2002 LS-1 model, any one will do and should run solidly in the mid to low 12s with the basic bolt ons! With heads/cam and other more detailed mods you can expect to run alot faster, just depends on you....
again, welcome...

Welcome to the board and good kill man!
I would love to run across one of those on the street (preferably at a light
)
Yeah the 2000-2002's have the LS6 intake and a little better flowing heads and exhaust...but if you find a good deal on a 98-99 go for it.
Hope ya find the one!
Peace
Chris

Oh, I wasnt sure if the change occured in 2000 or 2001...
I read a comparison where they flowed a set of 98 heads and the 2002 ones they(2002) flowed ever so slightly more...maybe it was just due to the wear on them(98 being 4 years older, more carbon, etc...the 2002's were probably close to brand new)
But I am positive of the different exhaust manifolds, just thought it was 00+..mine are log style(99) and I think the 2001-2002s are tubular, right?

I did what birchman said...
I bought a 98-2000 because they are usually a lot cheaper than the 2001-2002's and with the saved money I have been buying crap left and right...mostly nit-pick stuff so far but Im getting there...
I dont regret it at all...besides if you are the better driver the LS6 intake wont even make a difference...
I found a 99 with 24K mi for $14000 and talk'em down to $11500
To me, thats awesome deal!
Hope you find one man...
BTW I found almost all the good deals on autotrader.com...which im willing to bet youve already checked out.
Check out the ones that are a couple grand more than your willing to pay and try to talk them down...sometime it works out...
on the other note...I wish I had a Gallardo...
Its funny how Lamborghini names their cars..
Gallardo: "Rooster"? I think
Murcielago: "Bat"
Diablo: duh, "Devil"
Pretty cool names though when said in Italian, but still unny nonetheless
The Camaro is named appropriately.... "Pal"
