I was on my way hom other day driving down the interstate. I see behind me a car with RamAir hood (I was thinking TA). As it got close to me I noticed it was a Z-28 (Lt1 style). I was crusing at 75 and pulls beside me, as he does I speed up a little. He goes into the far right lane while I am in the far left lane. We start slowing a little to get evened up to race. In the middle lane we were approaching a Vette. As we were about to gun it and go, I see puff of black smoke come out of the vette (he already took off). So me and the Z took off. We stayed side by side from about 70 to 130 then the Z went on by me. Oh yeah the vette......dont rememeber how far back he was, but he wasn't even close..........lol. The Z slowed down and I pulled up to him and he gave me a thumbs up and I returned the favor. The vette catches up and wants to go again, so I go with him one on one and blew him away.....never saw him again, so I guess he exited. The Z cought back up and we continued the next 20-30 miles doing between 100 and 125 following each other.....it was fun. Not sure why but I have had my car up past the 140 on the speedo, but on that day it struggled after it got to 130. Kept the tranny kept fighting to stay in OD. Usually it would keep pulling even after it went into OD. Maybe the newness on the tranny is wearing out and it is back to do what it is suppose to do....oh well no biggie, once I have my engine mods I will put T-56 in.

Anyways was fun race and fun trip home.

 

your t/a must be a strong runner to keep up w/ that Z and smoke that vette. Keep the mod updates and the kill stories coming.
