Killing spree tonight...
Well, i expected to get to make a run or too, but 5? My clutch needs a break!!!
1st, i raped my buddys LT1 vette, wasnt ****...
2-4 were all WS6 LS1 TAs with boltons, as usual 3rd gear did its thing and it was tail lights fade.
#5....this was my challenge. A new EVO, has int., exh., cams and tuned. This thing ran HARD, from a 40 roll he jumped me, i was down to his back bumper and quickly thinking this rice was about to take my pride, then as he would shift he fell back a bit, then once i hit 3rd gear i was pulling him back. Next thing i know i am a half a car on him. I was happy i didnt lose to him, i wanted to make him look bad in front of his hot *** asian girl friend.
This thing would rape me from a dig, i think there is no way i would make it up on the big end. Nice car though, good fun night with no complaints except my buddys 91 RS leaking fluid from the front seal, dummy doesnt have a PCV valve it any crank case venalation at all, go figgure.

You're outrunning bolton LS1s at higher speeds with this:
Fully built 355 motor... 9.7to1 compression, ported and polished 70s heads, Comp cams XE 274... performer intake, 750 Holley, Hedman full lengths with custom Y-pipe with dual cut outs, Flowmaster crossflow muffler, Open diff swapped for a 2.73 posi
I've got a very similar setup in my Z28, only difference being a Performer RPM, World Products heads, and 3.42 gears. My car runs strong (mid 12s @ 108-109), but won't pull bolton LS1s at higher speeds. Ever run your car?

Havent run it at the track yet. I did not change the mods since the new motor, it has a air gap RPM and a comp XE roller with 236/242 .050 and 520/540 lift. Those heads are heavoly ported and polished too.
Man, i was gonna be happy to get a few runs in, so it was kina overboard for one night for me. Mu budget *** little motor is holding together well, i bet it doesnt have 500 miles on it yet!
I know anything can happen on the street but if you think you're running low 13's there's no way you could be pulling bolt-on LS1s on the top end. Most bolt-on LS1s easily dip into the low 13's, sometimes high 12's with DRs and a good launch. Not saying anything bad about your car, it sounds like you did a good job with it. Go to the track and get some times on it.
True, true, they all pulled me by a nose clip out of the hole, then i chased them down on the big end pretty easily, i NEED to get a gear before the track is an option. Now that you mention it, i guess it could be a high 12 second car, i will let you guys know when the day is here, but with the hollidays, the ol girl is kina put on hold.

Man I beat my buddies Honda the other day. He said he runs 11's at the track. I must have a 10 second car. Now that I think about it I guess it could be a high 9 second car.
