Here snakey,snakey,snakey!!

Cruisin home and spot a yellow Stang a couple cars ahead of me in my lane. I manuever to get in the other lane and get to the light with him. Well on the back window of his car had letters that read " GET U SOME" and the outline of a Cobra under it. He had the Cobra badges and all. I threw it in neutral and mashed down on it, I though dude was goinna have a heart attack. I yelled over at him and told him I wanted some! He smiled and I saw him shift into 1st (Auto). The light turned and I absolutely raped this dude! Even burning up the tires in 1st and 2nd, he never came close. I shut it down at about 90. He followed me part of the way home. He never tried to run again, he just stayed a couple cars behind me until he turned off a few miles down the road. I was ready for a flyby attempt but he never tried. Cobra....the other white meat!!!

Arrow

He smiled and I saw him shift into 1st (Auto).
He must have put an automatic in it. No late model Cobras have ever been built with an automatic.
Hard to tell what you raced, you won...that's what counts.
Cobra....the other white meat!!!

It wasn't a cobra if it was an auto. As stated before, cobras all came from the factory with manuals. I can't see anyone swapping an auto in, but who know's. I'd say it was a GT with cobra emblems. Either way, you kicked his ***, good kill

It was like a '96-'99 model. After I read your replies I talked to a friend who said he thinks it's a GT with Cobra badges. I honestly didn't pay attention to the front cap. I hate to think dude put Cobra badges on a GT though. That's like a guy around here who put Z28 badges on his damn 6 cyl Camaro.

I always wonder to myself, do these guys putting huge SLP type dual exhausts and/or Z28 badges on the 6 cylinders think that nobody will notice that slight little difference in the sound of a V6 vs a V8?

Must be a chick thing.

That reminded me of a guy down the street from me who put true duals on his 6 cyl. totally sounds like a$$

I have a sixer but my sh*t sounds pretty damn loud and good.
I have pacesetter headers, carsound high flow cat, 3" cut out
to a flowmaster w/ 3 1/2 " tail pipes, so not all v6's sound like ***.

I'm not bummin' on your ride. I'm talking about guys who badge their cars. Who can't tell a V6 from an V8 by listening? Then you see a Z28 or GT badge and you just have to wonder what they're thinking..

It wouldn't matter with your mods, any NA near stock cobra wouldn't stand a chance either. It wouldn't be as bad as the GT if the person could drive, but you'd still eat them.

NO I totally agree, what the hell are people thinkin when they do that. I was reffering to 1 fast 95 when he said someone
put true duals on there v6. I've never heard it but it cant sound
that bad especially with to cut outs.

There are cobras out there with autos, but they have been put in because the car has to much power for the stock tranny. A couple of 10sec cars have put them in. But that is not what you raced, could have been a riced out 6 too :P
