I just raced a 5.0 with slicks and 100 shot with my Z28 T56, I don't feel bad at all.........

If it was a 5.0 its hard to tell what it ACTRULY was, I don't remember the last time I seen a 5.0 that was badass stock. Hell I don't remember the last stock 5.0 I saw. It could of been a 347(?) stroker its hard to tell.

No guys.......It's a friend of mine. He has all the mod's and now he's shooting 100 to it. The car runs low 8's at our local 1/8 mile track so it's really quick. I'm stock, all but the BFG Drags that I run. I told him to bring all he had so he bolted up the slicks and we raced on a local road. (lucky for him he didn't get caught)
He only beat me by 2 or 3 lenghts so I'm very proud of the old LT1.

low low 8's in the 1/8 is only a high 12 1/4 mile car. If I had to spray a 100 shot to run 12's I would kick my ***

Very surprising, those cars are dogs stock..............for the most part. I owned one and stock I ran what I thought was a pretty good 14.48 @ 95.5. That really surprises me considering they have a whopping 225hp, at best. He must of made that thing light a he!! and slicked it or something, that is just too rare.

I just think it's almost against the law of rwhp vs weight vs 1320 ft in 12 sec or something, not that I don't believe it, I just don't understand how one guy driving a car with very little rwhp can change everything known to man about the basic 5.0 that's all! It's just strange when one guy can SMASH the best times most have seen with stock 5.0 (14.0-14.5 and traps of mid 90's ) by so much? I have seen poorly driven cars run crap times then someone who knows how too drive pull 1.0 sec off the time, but the better times are usually the average best times for the cars. Congrats to him. I could barely muster low 14's!
