Good race with a GT

I was at the track last Friday night, and i had the pleasure of racing about a 02 model GT. The first race i slaughtered him a 8.65 to 9.31(1/8th) Going down the track i gave him a "friendly" good bye wave. I guess he didnt like that because he followed me to were i was parked and insisted we run again. So i did, this race was way closer I got about 1 1/2 lengths out of the whole but he crept up to my back bumper and stayed there. This time it was a 8.64 to a 8.69. I was fairly surprised at how fast he was; I didn't get a chance to ask what he had done to his car because he tucked tail and left. Guess he didn't like getting beat by the old 94 Lt1 twice lol.

I also beat a cammed up 94 GT that really wasn't worth mentioning.

Mods for the 94(a4) are 4.10s, Cold air intake, nittos, and some 4" pro stars on the front.
Mustang(M5) mods umm who knows

(Man I cant wait to get the the tranny back form CPT for the 00 Z)

Yea im pretty sure he had some exhaust work. It was funny though he seemed really surprised to get beat lol. Some how those 4.6s have got a rep around here as being "fast". And now i gotta guy with an R1 rx-7 he thinks he can smoke me, and who knows maybe he can I just dont get these people heh.

Those rx 7's dont need much to get fast, might be a good race..(the tt ones from the 90's) . 2V GTs need alot to even hang w/ a stock LSx let alone a modded one, not sure why he looked surprised unless he was runnin FI.

He was probably surprised because he was racing the 94.

I think his rx-7 is a 95 or something. Ah, well he will be racin the 00 Z when we do race maybe ill put a 150 shot on her just in case heh. I think he said he has some kinda twin turbo setup maybe. Should be fun either way.

Ok and what do you know about rx7's and going fast? Please tell me Mr.Know it all... Next thing you will say is that its cheap to go fast in a rx7, or maybe you can tell me how wankles last forever.

No cars "cheap" to get fast. Anyone of those 90's turbo cars (supra,3000gt,rx7,300zx) run in the 13's stock in the manual version. A few bolt ons, bump in boost, and a tune and there moving. Problem is they were expensive and not the most reliable things..Ohh, I cant help you on the wankles subject guess i dont know it all .

Just for every ones info... The guys planing on spending most of his signing bonus(goin into the millitary) on the rx-7 so maybe 10kish in it when he gets back. Should be interesting none the less because most rice rocket drivers, and their cars, around here are just losers....

And for the mustang master... Yes, you should keep that in mind
