My brother has a 2004 Cobra Convertibe....went to the NYSI drag way and he ran numerous times......DAMMNNNN...with a pully and exhaust, he was trapping 12.01 @121 with 100 humidity and 80 degrees. Raced a 2000 firehawk and a modded ls1 with heads and cam...well, we all get the picture...didnt lose once. Those Cobras are insane.

 

Yes, Cobras (03+) are fast. I give them credit...but if an LS1 had a blower on it

 

I'd give that blown LS1 credit, but if a Cobra had two blowers on it

Yeah the new Cobras are no joke...I ran one Sat night and even though he didnt win, damn that thing looks/sounds good lose'in even! That whine....I wish I had a CD with that sound burned on it so I could listen to it on the way to work....

Naw, I have a short in my radio that does that for me...it matches my rpms....lol maybe thats why nobody ever wants to race?

Seriously...my speakers emit a blower-like sound until I moved my radio like a thousandth of an inch..then it goes away....I've rewired it three times and it still does it....gotta be a loose ground somewhere or something...

 

Yes, see quite a few quick (newer) Cobras at MIR all the time. Very respectable and the guys are always getting quicker.

Maybe a little off on a tangent but it's funny none the less. You cruise the internet and all you see is chevy guys bashing ford guys, trash talk, open threats, etc..
Have to assume its the kiddies, cause if you go to the track and hang out with the "race" guys. All you get is good ol' car guy comraderie. That's one thing I've always loved about drag racing... lots of ribbing and respective trash talking but most would give the shirt off their back to help a fellow racer. Ford, Mopar, AMC, GM, it's all good when you look at the big picture.
