bolt on 95 lt1 vs. 2011 wrx sti

I need a little guidinace here. I really don't know squat about the subaru wrx and my brother in law is talking smack about how he will take me in the quarter. Just how fast are these awd turbo's?? I run 12.9's to 13.0's at 104 with the MT DR's and 13.6's on streets. This is all from a dead stop. Do I need to worry about anything?? Who will win this one my lt1 or his wrx ??

Run with the DRs from a dig and you should be fine. Most of the drivers in the awd turbo cars either don't know how to get their car off the line from my experience. Could be a good race if they can drive. I'm assuming the STi is stock btw.

Since it's an LT1, the WRX will rape you. lol jk you should beat him .
2011 wrx=13.5@100 and 0-60 in 4.8
just keep the DRs on

If he can't drive it you should win easily. If he can the margin of victory is going to be down to a tenth or two for either car. It won't be a blowout by any stretch.

His strength is also his weakness; the 6spd is geared pretty low so he'll have to make at least one more gear change than you will. The older STi's would have to shift 1-2 after barely clearing the timing lights!

A good AWD launch takes practice. I've been driving them for the past 16+ years so I can do it in my sleep. Beginners either bog horribly or burn the clutch till it smokes. Either one is insta-lose.
