Man your just out racing everyone in Athens!

Like already stated youll send him home with his tail between his foxbody legs. Unless you totally murder the launch or accidentally race in reverse.

Those 273's arent helping but you should take him out at the top end

I own an 88GT vert with 7K original miles and a 94Z M6 with 16K original miles and I guarantee your Z28 will walk a Mustang. And that is a fact!

I'm willing to be he is going to take him out on the low end too. I raced a guy around here with a 94 stang with 4:10 gears. All I hear was how bad he is going to eat my car out of hole. Well needless to say I passed him in 1st gear spinning Maybe that was too much gear for that car?

Granted I had 3.23's when I raced a 94-95 5.0 but he had Nitto DR's and 4.10's, It was my first race ever with a totally stock Z/28. He also had catback and X pipe. I was neck and neck with him in first and flew past as soon as I hit second. He almost **** his pants and kept insisting I had N2O.

All depends on the driver...ofcourse the LS1 has a ton more power...Ive raced a few fox bods in my LT1 and uptop bolt ons vs bolt ons its no contest. Ive also test drove a few 273 LS1's and they felt slow as ****.

Re: 98 TA vs 88 Mustang

Thanks for all the responce guys! Antz97ZNJ: I don't know how you can describe any LS1 car as being slow, regardless of gearing. I've been in enough cars to know slow when i see it, and the 2.73 LS1 doesn't bring *slow* to mind. I just don't see how there's a night and day difference between a 2.73 A4 LS1 and a 3.23 Ls1, stock for stock. I know there has to be some, I'm not saying that.....I just don't think the 2.73's are quite as bad as people act. Just my 2 cents.....

Easily, drive a modded fbody w/ a higher stall and 373's to the dealer and then hop in a bone stock car w/ 273's

Definately a night and day differance.

chassis dyno= 380rwhp before proper tune. guessing 400rwhp now, with 2.73's i only ran a 13.1, with 3.73's i dropped down to 12.2, so gears can make a big differance. for 400rwhp i believe my car was slow with the wrong gears. hence the screen name "myslowcamaro"
