95z vs 84 cutlass 455

My friend has an 84 olds with a 455 bigblock oldsmobile it has a basic rebuild 9.5 compression with a solid flat tappet cam 234 244 540 526 106 it sounds hairy, harland sharp roller rockers, trw forged pistons, hooker super comp headers. 850 dp, and a dual plane intake. The car has turbo 350 trans with 3000 converter, 3.73 gears. It ran at the track with regular radial tires 13.7 at 104. Now my car has long tubes, ory, coldair intake, built trans 3000 stall 3.73 gears, tune, basically all the mods in the sig except for the juice and drag radials he wants me to run a regular radials. I think i can run better than a 13.7 he says no way. when i tell him that his olds is a turd he claims it weighs 4000 lbs. Who do you think has this one. P.S i raced a mustang 89 lx with gt40 heads a b303, cam 5 speed , victor jr intake, 650 carb and 3.73 gears and i ripped by 5 cars. This was also on radials.

With your set up the only way you could beat him is with a great hole shot, which you aint goin' to do on street tires.

If he truly is only good for 13.7's then I think you'll take him easily...

Yeah if he was on stickies he would have run way better. Why do you think that he wants you off your drag radials and in street tires? On street tires you're going to have to baby it off the line and lose all the advantage of your high stall converter. Then it'll be your motor against his for pulling power.

An 84 old's with a BB 455 is a bit of a ol' dog that's not going to run with your Camaro from a dig or a roll. IMO(Unless it has way more mods of course)

A Delta 88? Sure it isn't a 425? Maybe that's the Dynamic 88

1) did you run at the track yet?

2) a properly running mustang with the mods you listed should rip you a new ***.
