Cause it's a truck....no matter which way you cut it.

Which I still wouldn't buy by the way.

Because I've never seen an F-body lose to one of those. They are about as fast as a stock LT1. With bolt-ons, pulley, tires, etc, you can possibly break into the 12s with one -- but they are still around 100 mph in the 1/4 stock -- trucks shaped like an un-aerodynamic brick flying through the sky.

one, i was on street tires if we went from a dig with my mt's it would not have been a race. he is a good friend of mine and we were just having fun. i think for a mod you should not crap on members who try to bring stuff to the forum.

Sorry you took it that way. That wasn't my intention.

Those trucks need VERY little to hit 12s and bolt-ons can net 11s.

To each their own but how embarrassing will it be when I'm towing my Mustang to the track and being able to show trailer lights to vehicles on the way.

Maybe in your area.

When I had my 03 Lightning, stock it ran 13.91@102.5 and I had not learned to launch it yet.

With some seat time and with a 4 lb. lower pulley, shift kit, cai and a tune on stock tires running 93 octane netted 12.5's@111.+ followed a few months later with a ported blower 12.6's@113.

It was so easy getting 12's in the truck I could not believe it....all while weighing in at a light 4700 lbs race weight.

my buddy does that wiyh his cummins when he's towing his dad's car, though he's pushing over 700ftlbs to the wheels. To do that with a lightning, you better have a good bit of stuff done
