First race was with a 96-97 Auto LT1 with exhuast not sure if it had anything else. We raced from 2nd gear to the top of 3rd and pulled 2 1/2-3 cars. Second race was with a SRT 4 and his was hella loud and definitly had a BOV that sounded even louder then his exhuast, lol. I raced him 1-2 gear giving him the head start in 1st and pulled 1 1/2 cars on him at the end of my 2nd gear spinning all the way through first and most of second gear. Pretty rare i get a race and especially 2 in one day. Would've liked it to be higher speeds but thats all i got.

Thanks guys, you never really know what mods anyone has. If he had a cam or nitrous i would've been in real trouble since you can pick the LT1's up for much less then the LS1's and mod the crap out of them. Since my last car was a LT1 and ive had a total of 5 camaro's i have alot of respect for them. Either way thought id just post it, i dont get many races.

On a side note.
What I think is funny about a lot of the people on this forum is... when a modded LS1 kills an LT1 the LS1 owners say it's a good kill. But I recall a handful of recent kills posted where a modded LT1 beats an LS1 and the LS1 owners start the "mod for mod" stuff and say "of course it did, but it wouldn't have beat it if the LS1 had a cam too..."

Anyone else recall the very same things being said?

Biggest suprise from my own experience was when i had a 01 SS M6 going home on the freeway this LT1 white camaro pulled up next to me with an extra passenger and he kept up with me all the way to 140mph. I had Lid, K&N filter, Flowmaster and exhuast cut out. I dont know what he had but either way you never know, there are pretty fast LT1's out there that will absolutly demolish my car and you would think all they have is just exhaust.

Nice kills. I had a guy try and tell me last week that the SRT 4 was faster then the Corvette. I raced one years ago when my '94 was stock and blew his doors off up to 55mph.

Nice kills, i don't even bother with any 4cyl's anymore, i had a stage 400 or whatever SRT-4 talking **** and i destroyed him from a roll, dig, head start etc. etc.

So what kind of numbers are you putting up that 4 cylinders aren't worth your time?

BS artists aren't confined to any one type of car. There are just as many people who put nothing but Flowmasters on their Camaro and start talking smack. It's the person moreso than the car they drive.
