'06 Dodge Daytona R/T lost to '95 Hotcammed Z28

raced my co-worker's new Bronze-colored '06 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. Its rated at 350 hp but is over 4000 lbs.

I too was surprised, but I beat it decisively with my 95 Z28 with Hotcam Kit and AS&M mids and 3000 stall. We started on the highway at about 65. I was directly in front of him when we started. I pulled away from him steadily for over 100 yards until we hit traffic. Guess we got well over 110. He even confirmed it when I heard from another coworker that he told him that my car hauls and that he had it to the floor but got handed. My car should be rated at about 330 with my PCMforless tune so I guess at 3500 lbs, the lighter weight may have been the difference. Charger fast. Cammed Camaro....more fast.

But watch out for the SRT8!

Nice kill, I have been wanting to kill one of those and a new Stang. Glad you put him in his place in the food chain. SRT-8's will be decent, but I think we'll have and edge on them.

Well, they're 425 hp so unless one has a cam and heads, I'd say stay away.

I think a cam and full bolt on's would be plenty. A 350hp Hemi one runs 14.2 at 101mph. So I am thinking a 425hp one might run low to mid 13's around 106-108. I am running around 105-106 mph's with just bolt on's. The 2.82's dont help it. Only time will tell.

Going by my run with the R/T, I would think if that guy added another 75 hp that he would at least run with me. You may be right though. Hmm, I'll look for one and I'll let ya know.
