Steering shaft rubbing on headers
 

Hey guys is there any way to modify the steering shaft or a different one that won't rub, it makes driving the car annoying, thanks?

I believe sometimes you can move the shaft to the side a bit by loosening the flange that positions the steering column on the firewall. Also remember a solution from many years ago that involved punching out the sheer pin in the upper u-joint on the shaft, allowing the shaft to be slid out slightly and lengthening it.p for more offset. Finally, a minor "ding" on the interfering header primary may be enough.

I have no idea on that one.

I believe the LS1 shaft installed as is will cause the steering wheel to be clocked wrong. IIRC, the fix is to decouple where it is splined and re-clock it.
