squeaky brakes

I've searched through almost every thread here reguarding the problem, and I dont have any way to take my wheel off and grind stuff down, I lack the tools to do so, and Im just wondering if there is any way to fix this problem without taking stuff apart myself.

I'm not sure if its my rear brakes or my front brakes, but the same thing happened on a previous car of mine.

light braking pressure is noisy, but when I push heavier on my brakes, it goes away.

doesn't happen all of the time, its on and off, nothing to do with it being wet or dry.

I havent tried spraying anything on them, but I did get new brake pads on my older car and it did nothing, its the exact same problem, and I don't know how to fix it, its really getting under my skin now.

do you have shims on theback of your pads, or at least a thin layer of brake lubricant on the back of the pad

tbh, I'm not sure about either.

I haven't tried to lube them up with anything, the brake pads are relatively new.

Its a metal on metal noise though..

what brand of pads were they and what was replaced. i also put something on the back of the pads, clean and file parts flat on spindles, lube sliding points with synthetic grease, use silglide on sliders in the calipers, make sure rotor surface is good(most of the time the rotors are replaced because they are cheap.)
it could also be you have a bad set of pads. i use a/c delco ceramics

whenever I get my brakes done somewhere down the line I guess I'll see if the pads are whats making the noise, I remember taking my jeep in and they had no idea why it was making noise. I would have figured they would have at least told me it was the brakepads and sucker me into buying new ones, but nope.
