shifted rear axle

Hey guys, love this forum, thank you to all the advise.

I have a 94 z28. I was out playing, doing donuts and stuff. I nailed a curd mid slide. Thought I just bent the axle flange so got it apart, replaced the axle, new rotors, new wheel. Come to find out I shifted the whole axle 1 inch to the drivers side. Looks like the lower control arm is bent and the panard is bent. So, and please give me some good news here, can I replace control arms and panard and straiting back out or did I really screw up?

I believe unbent lcas and panhard will bring you back to proper situation, panhard bar more so lcas.

Also, will LCA and panard of a 2000 firebird fit my 94?

All rear suspension parts interchange, 93-02. Actually 3rd Gen rear components should also be the same. Aftermarket upgrades are always a good idea.

Is the panhard rod buckeled? If it hit that hard (driver side wheel hit the curb?) make sure the vertical metal arm, extending down from the chassis, that the rod attaches to on the passenger side is not damaged. The upper brace, above the panhard rod should have kept it from bending, but check it anyway, for a torn bolt hole.

Re: shifted rear axle

Passenger side took the hit. On the panard, driver side, about 5 inches back from were it connects, there's a slight bend. LCA on passenger side looks OK, drivers side LCA has a slight bend, really slight but defiantly noticeable. Took a tape measure, checked both sides at deferent points and there is a 1 inch deference. So, going to go check a 2000 ta at the junk yard and pull lca's and panard. Everything else looks fine

So, it looks like a total loss. Bracket on passenger side that holds upper and lower panard bar is tweaked

In good condition, this is what it looks like.

Re: shifted rear axle

Yeah, it doesn't look like that  put every thing back together, sat it down, tire was rubbing against the rubber bump stop in the upper wheel well. Got clearance now that its on the ground. Still has 1 inch deference. Inner wheel well to out side of the tire is 13 inches passenger side, 14 inches drivers side, however it is strait, pulled a couple measurements to make sure the axle wasn't crukid. Idk, 4000$ live and learn lesson. On a positive note, finished replace intake manifold gasket job and no more oil drips on the ground. May end up pulling the engine and scrapping the car. Ugh just replaced the convertible top too.

Re: shifted rear axle

Only thing I can think of trying is maybe an adjustable panard. However with that bracket being tweaked, I don't think it'll do any good.

There are a few frame straightening videos on utube but I would take the car in
to a frame and axle place to get a quote before scrapping the car.Maybe might just need some welding and a few parts I dunno.Hope this helps.

I've got a buddy who builds drag cars. Says he has frame straiting stuff. He chuckled and told me he's done a lot worse. He said after we get every thing off it, it'll take him about 10min to straiting.
