Re: 1le sway bar kit???

That is NOT a 1LE 21mm rear bar - I had one - took it off due to oversteer. Looks like an aftermarket adjustable.

BTW - that 1LE chart on eBay was "lifted" from my website.

Re: 1le sway bar kit???

i was at the local performance shop today we were talking and i showed him the same pics and he said there could have been a standard 1le 21mm and maybe a different 21mm for the autocross package? this a message from the ebay seller let me know what you think

I completely understand your situation.. I purchased all of these items from two different GM dealers over 8 years ago.... I did so much research back then to make sure I had what I wanted. The rear sway bar in question (1LE Rear 21 mm Stabilizer Bar (GM p/n 10021221)) is the piece I got from GM dealer and although the tag or sticker is missing, I was told it is the 21 MM solid bar. Upon receipt, I did note that it is solid so I did not worry any further. At this point I think I should place a note in the auction that the rear bar may be a different part number since you have raised this concern.. If it is not what I was told by the dealer 8+ years ago that is a error I cant fix now.... To make if fair I will take $25.00 off the sales price should you win the auction.. I am very sorry to have the as a problem now. The other parts are correct for sure and are worth the current offering price.

Re: 1le sway bar kit???

The 1LE IS the autocross package.

I bought the 1LE 21mm rear bar new in 99 from my local Chevy dealership - it did not look like the eBay bar.

The p/n for the 1LE bar is 10021221 and is listed for only 93 - 94. GM never factory installed it after that. It could be a GMPP catalog item from years ago, however.

Re: 1le sway bar kit???

that could make more sense even the local shop owner was telling the center section of the bar looks about right but he never seen one with the extra bolt holes and different shape and even the seller mentioned he did quite a bit of research on the p/n's when he ordered it do you have any idea what they may be used for?
