Rear Axle Bumpstops
Rear Axle Bumpstops
I dont know what these are called but there on both sides of the axle out towards the tires and i guess the stop the rear from hitting. There made of rubber and kinda come to a point. They may be called bumpstops i'm not sure but i need a set. How much do these run and where can i get them. Thanks Mike

It is noted on the page that the prices are subject to change. I also give where I got the prices from. It's hard to find time to update 300+ part numbers. With the cars getting so old, some parts are probably discontinued as well. I actually find it interesting (but sad) to see how much prices have changed.

I'm not 100% sure these will work, but the mounting dimensions sound about right.

I was going to avoid cutting off the bump stop mount lip, but the lip doesn't do any good with the ES bump stops. What I did is cut the lip off, then I cut and trimed a 3/16" thick 5" x 1.5" piece of metal to mount between the bump stop and mount since the mount doesn't offer enough structual support IMO, for the ES bump stops. They would probably be fine without the metal support plate I installed, I just felt better with them in there.
I also cut 1/2" off the bump stop height to give me more drop with my air bags. And yeah, with the mount lips cut off they bolt right up !m

Also If you want longer mount bolts you need: 3/8" 20 tpi. A 1" lenght non-tappered bolt will work with the 3/16" support spacer, or a 1.25" tappered bolt. The bolts I'm using are the ones that come with SLP aluminum bump stop spacers, their 1.5" long(body).
thats pretty easy, thanks for taking the time to post those pics. I think i'll just buy them instead of getting stock ones. I see you have airbags on your car, How hard is it to put an airbag kit on a camaro. I'd like to lower mine a little but I live on a rough road and our driveway isnt very smooth and i'm afraid it'll rub the ground so i think airbags might be my answer. Thanks again for all the help
