question about brakes
hi i have a 1997 T/A M-6 and i have been having some issues with my Rear brakes ever since i did a brake job. what i found today is i have the car up on jackstands and i disassembled the brakes and double checked my job. i installed all the brakes correctly and i decided to bleed them, they bled fine and i fired it up and had a friend watch the wheels. at idle, I let the clutch out and at idle my car wont snub. i am stomping on the brakes as hard as i can and the car wont snub, i would think that if u need to lock up your tires to engage the abs u should be able to snub your motor if you stomp on it.
and advice or comments would be appreciated thanks -kevin would re-building the calipers be a good idea? because come to think of it i dont think ive had back brakes sence i bought the car. |
Re: question about brakes
SNUB???? Ya lost me
When you apply the brakes, are the rear brakes applying? Can you turn the tire with it off the ground? If you can you could have anything from a bad proportioning valve to a possibly collapsed rear brake hose. |
Re: question about brakes
snub as in snub the motor? i have the car on jackstands and i have the tires turning free, if i apply the brakes with the wheels turning should my back brakes be able to "snub" (kill) the motor?
