Exclamation Need to grind LS1 front brakes for 15" prostars?

Hey guys. I tried the search function, and nothing relevent came up.

I am currently doing the LS1 brake upgrade for the front of my 95 bird. So, before I paint the calipers red, is there any clearance issues with the 15" by 4" prostar skinnies? I seem to think I may need a 1/4" spacer or something, but does the outside of the caliper hit the inside of the rim anywhere? I already know I need to grind off some of the rear brakes to make it fit, but where exactly?

I dont yet have the drag rims, so I cant just set them on and look. I have to do this in stages, cuz Im not rich. So, any heads up now would be extremely appreciated, so I dont have to repaint my calipers later on when I get the drag rims.

Thanks!!!

for the front, you only need a 7/32 spacer. no grinding. for the rear, if you leave the LT1 brakes on, there will not be any grinding needed that i am aware of. if you swap to LS1 brakes, then lots of grinding is needed. here's what i had to do:

damn dude. That looks like fun trying to gind on them. I just dont want to do that... and I see you have different rims too... I think I read that prostars and draglights were different, and the draglights needed less grinding.
But, either way, I appreciate the link, and I love the look of your car!

you can use a spacer on the rear, to cut down on the grinding of the calipers. i just prefer not to have a spacer on the rear wheels.
