Kon/Bilstein???

Hey guys i have a friend to has a formula and he autocrosses it...he is running Koni's up front as well as in the back but he bought them used and got an excellent deal on them. i dont really race my car that often but i would like to replace the shocks...does anyone have the Koni up front and Bilstein the back combo? or any other different types of shock that are good quality for a reasonable price? any advice would be appreciated

That's an older setup I used to run. Some things have changed, namely prices that means for a very similar price (about $40 more in the end) we can put you on a full set of Koni's, with rebound adjustment the Bilstein's don't have.

I'm not sure if you even *need* Koni's, though they are the best shocks you can put on the car. But you have other less expensive options too. I'd be happy to discuss them with you on the phone (and we'd need to do on the phone to get a good explanation done). And I can kind of sum up the differences between shocks for you.

I was looking into the Bilsteins at first, but after I placed a call into Sam he explained the differences and in the end the Koni's seemed to be the best way to go. I may not "need" them now but later when they are a necessity I will already have them. Why do something twice when you can do it right the first time around.
