how to raise the back end a bit ?
I have the prokit in my car right now . and i think that the back end is a little too low (for my liking) and bottoms out a little bit here and there
can i slip a garden hose in my rear springs to raise it up a bit ? any other methods to raise the back about half an inch ? |

I made a shim out of 1/2 inch thick conveyor belt. Good sturdy stuff, but now I need to raise the locating dowel because there is nothing to hold the spring in place. I figured maybe get a muffler shop to weld on wee peice of pipe and I'd be all set.

I made shims from UHMW plastic that I put on top of my rear springs. Did it to level the car side-to-side, and also to raise it when I drag raced. Works like a champ. Take a look toward the bottom of http://www.go-fast.org/z28/suspension.html for some info. Dave |
LPEdave, thats a great idea. I sent you an email asking you a few simple questions. Im usually pretty handy when it comes to ideas like that but I would have never thought of that. thanks man, your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
