How many miles can I expect from a set of KONI adjustable struts?

My KONI red adjustable struts are now going on seventeen years old, with 100,000 miles on them. They do not leak. The car handled well enough to take a trophy at the 2005 NFME autocross event. As far as I can tell, they are still in good shape. So are the Herb Adams rear shocks that are now thirteen years old.

I've been thinkng of sending the shocks into KONI for a "wellness check" since they have lifetime warranties. Is it worth it, or should I just call it good and not worry about it?

I would just send them and have them rebuilt,no need to spend 800 over again.

Oh, I wouldn't toss them except in the case where I felt it necessary to upgrade to KONI sports. I think I'll keep them on the car and replace them only when I start experiencing handling troubles. It's just that these struts have 100,000 miles on them and they seem to still work like new. I wonder if anyone else has KONIs with this kind of mileage on them?
