good brake pads?
Can you recommend some you have had experience with? Need new pads on my drag car and not sure if I should go with anything better or just get factory

I asked the same thing before and got no real answeres. I can tell you do not go with a performance "racing" pad. Most of them need some heat to be effective and a drag car has almost none of that.
I went with EBC green stuff pads. Supposed to be a good street pad. Higher stopping force when cold. Not sure how that will work out. Haven had the car out of the garage yet;) I used to have some performance friction "z" rated pads.. they stink for racing. tey needed to be warmed up some before they had better holding power. My 60' times always improved after each round. I think it was because the brakes got hotter the they help better on the line. That allowed me to stall the converter a bit more each time. |
I may just go with the delcos.....I really don't need new ones but the car has been sitting, plus they are the factory pads. When everything goes right It should be about 125 mph or a little more.....
If you get it out, let me know how those poads work......I am interested in seeing how it does too. Nice set-up...glad to hear it running at least |
Axxis Metal Master. They bite well cold and hot. They also don't seem to dust bad either. I have slotted rotors and open 5 spoke wheels so they'd get dirty quickly if they dusted bad. Strano carries the pads.
Also change your fluid. |
