Front Shock Nut Torque?

Front Shock Nut Torque?
I just installed some Koni Yellows and my old Eibach sportlines. I swapped over from my bilstiens thinking it would improve the ride. It didn't, feels almost the same. I'm guessing I may be torqueing the top nut too tight on the front shocks. The rears feels great and I didn't tighten them much. You can barely see any thread on the rears with the double nuts on there. The fronts on the other hand I used an air ratchet to tighten them down a few thread after the springs were compressed.
Did I tighten the top shock nut too much...I'm guessing I did the same thing on the bilsteins?
I looked at the pictures on this thread and I'm not sure if I left that much thread on top of the shock:

Re: Front Shock Nut Torque?
the konis have a break in procedure i believe. on my subaru they were a bit harsh at first then things got smooth. no comment on the nut, my car is on stock decarbons .
sorry to derail the thread a bit but i can get konis for my Z for $685 shipped. is that a good deal?
