Closest think is SFFBA, but personally i have never done anything with them. imo most of them are shmucks, i get annoyed as anything reading their message board.
We use to meet up at winners circle on jog and okee, but i dont think they meet there anymore.

Boynton Beach here.
The SFFBA are a bunch of Party Animals. They hold parties almost every weekend. And they are meeting at the winners circle still.

I live in the Broward/Ft. Laud area. I'm the Treasurer of the SFFBA, Inc. (non-profit) and we have various functions in the Tri-county area from time to time. They range from our once a year "F-Body Experience" to weekly gatherings in the Tri County area (Miami/Ft. Laud)West Palm). Miami meets on Thursday nights, Ft. Laud. on Tuesday nights, and WPB every other Sunday.
The WPB meeting spot has been up in the air since Winner's Circle closed a while back and the meeting place varies a bit still until we can find another suitable location.
We are both a group of friends and F-body enthusiasts of varying degrees. Sometimes the events are more orchestrated and planned and others are very informal and less "car" centered.
We have over 100 paying members and 300-400 that visit our board from time to time. Of course some are just trouble makers that shouldn't affect the majority of us, unfortunately it does.
And no, not everyone in our group is perfect. But we all enjoy our F-body's and we are as much friends as we are car junkies. Some of us have been together for over 3 years now when our predecessor organization began.
About a year ago many of us realized that certain individual were funding all the events while others paid nothing. We decided to incorporate and charge a $25 annual fee that provides you unrestricted board access (some topics are member only), 50% discount on dyno day (3 pulls usually are $20), discounts with various vendors that sponsor us, free food at the BBQ's, and a few other perks. Try to go get 3 pulls at your local dyno for under $75, the annual membership is worth it just for that.
There are only 3 qualifications to be a member: Live in South Fla., own an F-body, pay $25
So Kmook can have his views (and I'm sure there are others with the same thoughts). But, we really want/encourage people to participate and show at gatherings and events, not just live behind their keyboard. Maybe they should come to our next BBQ (which we hold tri-annually) or at our upcoming B-Day bash in August (our non-profit corp will be ONE! (LOL)
And yes we do party, but I think DTK has just recently been able to start attending events and a few of the members have been hosting regular parties of their own this summer and many of the SFFBA faithful have attended. (Oh the stories).
Anyway, if you're interested check us out at sffba.com or drop me an e-mail.
Thanks
Ed M.

I have never posted ONE message on your board! And never 'got into it' with anyone in your club
And i do not dislike anyone in particular. I have just been forwarded links to threads, by friends on your board, and the conversations are just flame wars and alot of the people were very arogant. Maybe it was just a bad day for a lot of people when i was reading those threads, maybe not.

I lived my whole life in West Palm Beach until I moved to Orlando to go to UCF. I should be going back home in a couple weeks.
kmook: Don't know if you remember me, but I was the one who picked up the SS airbox for 5LITEREATER.

I stand corrected Kmook.
Many times we have people come out and start trouble, then bad mouth us elsewhere, apparently you weren't one of them. (although I could swear I've seen you post many months ago...guess my memory is failing me)
Of course there are heated and childish discussions on any board, and we have our moments too.
But maybe you should try to come to one of events and get to know a larger circle than just those that are on-line. If you haven't already and if you'd want, but I think you'll get a different picture of the group as a whole. Especially if you join the Palm Beach group that goes to Moroso regularly, if you're into that sort of thing.
(It's not required to be a member to attend our events or show at our weekly/monthly meetings.)
Anyway, apologize for confusing you with someone else and maybe we'll meet sometime.
