You didn't mention where in Florida you are visiting nor what you want a Whipple to fit (Chevy, Ford, MOPAR, car, truck, what?). I am in the Orlando area (central Florida) and do not know of any dealers that would have a whipple on the shelf for any type vehicle. With our shipping system over here most shops can have a kit in 5-10 days so they don't keep slow moving merchandise on hand. If you are visiting the central Florida area (Orlando, Daytona Beach) then maybe contact Norris Motorsports ahead of time and see what Mike can do to set you up. Hie website is:

I guess that's about the best we can do to help at this point.

Thank you. That helps at least getting started. I am coming to Miami at beginning of the february and the distance is no problem, i am going to rent a car anyway. And the car of mine is 90´ Trans Am. With 383, Edelbrock heads, roller cam, SLP headers and 3" exhaust. Here is some picks of it: http://vhtracing.com/forspontiac.htm

Very nice looking 3rd Gen you have there. Funny, but I didn't see even one polar bear in any of the pictures.

You mention Whipple (which is a "screw" type supercharger) in this message but I don't think they make a SC kit for the 3rd or 4th generation F-bodies. Even so, a screw type SC makes high torque down low in RPM's (starting at 2000 or so) and coupled with the torque of your 383 it may be too much torque very low in the RPM range for a street car. Maybe check into something from Vortech or ATI in a centrifugal supercharger which makes power later in the RPM range (3500+).

Since you'll be visiting Miami, you might check on the South Florida F-Body Associations website at http://www.sffba.com/ and see if they have knowledge of dealers or shops down in that area. Miami is still over 300 miles from us here in Central Florida (Orlando) so that's a pretty good drive to pick up parts. And the view isn't all that great along the way, unless you like looking at swampland and marshes.

You could try breathless performance in Miami/Ft Lauderdale (they have good stuff)...Also Speed and Truck World...(but I doubt the would have anything in stock)...

There is a place in Pompano Fl...that build custom race cars....there are of US1 heading toward Boca...the guys in South florida Forum could help you I am sure.... Anyway I was at that shop several years ago when the square looking lightning came out....351 motor...Well they built a custom supercharging system and intercooler that put the truck in the LOW 10's

It was Bad a*s!!
