possible, I would be up for showing up late, since I have a class at 6pm, but usually am out by 7:30, but I may be getting my car back tonight or tomorrow morning, may not want to abose the clutch so quickly, and let it break in a little.

To bad I don't still have my makeshift WRC Cavalier Rent-A-Car, I am curious how it would have done.

I mean afterall it is my 4th clutch.

 

hey anasazi i might possibly want to go. i have been wanting to take a trip there but i have nobody to go with. let me know if u r going to go, because i most likely will. i just have to make sure i have my car because its going to the shop to have pass. side o2 changed, and a new cat welded on. keep in touch. ill talk to u later.

 

wed. afternoon i've gotta go get my brakes checked out. i replaced them sunday but one of the rotors was gouged about 1mm and now they're both squeeling like ****'s. they still stop real good, but they're super loud. i'll probably end up getting both rotors turned and the new pads shaved if thats possible.

as long as that process goes ok i should be going. i'm trying to get a friend with an old el camino to come out as well

 

yeah sounds good. just let me know for sure if u are going to go. my car goes in tom. morning for the cat and the o2, but it SHOULD be done!! where r u located? what time are you going to head up there if you go??

 

after doing my plug wires it looks like the o2 sensors are super easy to replace, especially the drivers side. as for the cat, just gut it

i live just north of UCF. it takes i'm guessing about 20 minuites max to get out there from where i live so i think i might leave to go out there at about 5:30. they do still open at 6pm right?

 

hey anasazi i just checked and it still opens at 6. im down in winter garden so it takes about 45 min for me to get down there. yeah i tried doing the sensors myself, i got the drivers side done, couldnt get passenger side though. i bought a catco cat for $50 and im gonna use that for now, im gonna have it bolted in with flanges so i will be able to remove it. im going to take the old cat and gut it, and put a pipe through it, then put that back up on the car. i just want to see the difference in sound having a straight pipe with no cat into a cutout. ill post again tom. when i get my car back. talk to u later.

yeah rain sux! i just checked the weather and its supposed to start around 6 o'clock!! 60% chance of rain. im picking up my car at 5 so if its not pouring out ill drive down. ill look for u when i get there, name is brian and i drive the red Z28 #5238. hope to see u there.

i got there at about 6:05 or so right as they were putting out the "TOO WET" sign on the gates



saw a ton of camaro's driving out there on my way back, didn't see any trans am's though. also saw a z06 going out there

was going to be a good night, except for the rain

 

yeah i got there at about 6:20. i saw lots of decent cars on my way there. about 5-6 camaros, 1 red Z06, and a few mustangs. yeah it would have been nice. do u think u will end up going on friday? hopefully it wont rain. well ill talk to u later.

 

yep, my friend with the el camino also came up there at 6:20 or so and he now wants to go friday

the z06 i saw was red... i bet he was the same one you saw

for future reference, the number on the sign that said "TOO WET" was 407 568 5522 . i called it and its a recorded message saying if they're open or not. i'll be calling this number next time before i head out, even though i'm only 10 minuites away

 

hahaha yeah the number will help me out a little. took me an hour and a half to drive down because of traffic!! i knew half way there it would be closed , but i had nothing better to do! got my car back with the new cat.... seems i lost MORE low end torque!!!!! hopefully i will get into the 13's soon. i def. should be there! post later in the week about friday if ur going to go. talk to u later.

got my new coil, it "feels" like i have more torque now... and i spin my wheels a lot more now, traction might be a problem as i have no drag radials

anyone else going?
