They aren't finished being built so they are putting everyone in a hotel til they are done (until end of Sept) I get to stay in AMERISUTIES.... (yeah )

Tampa's alright. I used to live in the area when I went there for college.

It's basically just like any other large city, it has everything and it's very populated. Ybor City is less than 10 miles from Tampa and it has an excellent nightlife on 7th street, where there are over 25 different nightclubs, eateries, cigar shops, a movie theather, and other stuff. University Mall is a stone's throw from USF on Fowler, and there's a movie theather on the premises too. I've been to Lightning and Devil Rays games there before too and they're right in downtown Tampa and are fun (when Tampa wins one ). Raymond James Stadium is not too far away from downtown either. The Clearwater Beach area is great if you're into the beach scene and St. Pete and Sarasota are just south of Tampa on 275.

I go to USF too, maybe we can meet up when you get down here. Tampa has all kinds of things to do depending on what you like. Ybor city is the red light district if your into clubbing. Im not much of a dancer personally, the only clubs I ever go to are strip clubs But There are several nice night clubs if thats your thing. Uhh drag strips about an hour away. If your gonna live in college apartments there will be partsy goin on all the time ( I expect invites )

Really probably anything you are interested in, tell us what you like to do and Ill be able to answer that better

Dont be coming down here thinking your all bad with your performance package firebird.... im the fastest Z in all of tampa... and when things really heat up with the BPU supras and twin turbo porshes i pull out with the Vtec Accord..

Alright man just making sure you know your place.

If you wanna make friends and meet lots of hot girls theres only 1 way to do that..
Donate money to the "Make my z28 faster" fund..
This 380hp horsepower bullcrap isnt enuff.

Anyways man. Welcome to tampa, its hot as hell the first time but the next summer is ok, the only place I'll park my cars in ybor is next to police station or next to where the cops always sit.

Check out badrap.net and tamparacing.com to find out what events are going on so u can meet some more people.

When you get to town, swing on by www.scfba.net as well. It's the local F-Body devoted tech forum.

And I agree with Ybor. It's the party palace... about 1/10th as exciting as South Beach... I miss home.

It's only a month or so old. We have a 3rd gen owner with a V6 that would embarrass most of the V8's on here! Non-turbo!

More of a tech forum than a social club, but we try to have regular gatherings. The BBQ/Zaino Party in the rain last weekend was awesome.
