Summer Drags

Okay if I were to go out tonight and race in this hot crappy weather what do you recommend I do to my 97 Z to run a decent time.

I know ICE and lots of it, but anything else? I have a fan switch... Any gains from going to a belt that avoids the AC? Anyone know what lenght I need for that?

That is pretty much it, when I shuyt down and slow down to about 40 I pop the hood to get some airflow under the hood, depending on the temps of my motor, I will pop the hood fully and cruise back and forth up that back road.

I have a 160* stat and water wetter so once I get a little airflow my temp drops like a rock.

I only really have to do the driving thing when I hotlap the car slightly like at SLP elimination days, or a slow day at the track, usually an hour the car is pretty cool.

But I reccomend 2-3 bags of ice. Get the whole motor, and push the car thorough the pits.

jsut stuff I do since my car seems to be very very tempramental to temperature differneces.
