Alright looking like it might be too far to commute to daytona, next thing to look into. Relocating.


SO if we were to relocate to Daytona area, any tips on nice places to move to?



How is New Smyrna, or Ormond beach?

Or even just daytona or surrounding areas? Any input on that?

New Smyrna Beach all the way. That's where I would love to live if I didn't work here in central FL and could find a good job out there. My uncle has a condo. there on the intracoastal and the town and area itself is just nice. Not much traffic, congestion, pushy people, etc.

Ormond is nice too, but it's slightly more urban than NSB, and Daytona even more so.

I grew in that county, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

NSB is nice. Though, it is very much a small beachside town, and can get a bit boring from time to time. I grew up in Ormond, and just relocated to Orlando from there. I liked it because it was an easy 10-15min drive into the center of Daytona, so you could enjoy the suburb feel of Ormond and still be close to Daytona. As far as living in Daytona, there are a number of different areas. Personally, I would try to find something on the beachside either a few miles (north or south) outside of the downtown area(Seabreeze to ISB).
